BSR Services Inc., the largest locally owned and operated snow and ice management provider in St. Louis, recently won a TORCH award from the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. The BBB TORCH Awards recognize companies and charities with exceptional ethics and service to their employees, customers, suppliers and communities. The winners will be recognized at a luncheon on Tuesday, Oct 14 featuring Mark Whitacre, a corporate whistleblower who was the inspiration for the film, The Informant.

We highlighted the accomplishments of BSR in a recent blog post, after they earned both ISO 9001 and SN 9001 certifications after being audited by Smithers Quality Assessments.

Company Owner Carl Bolm told Snow Magazine Online that they were “honored to accept this award, especially since this is our 30th year in business. The acknowledgement by the BBB is truly a highlight in our company’s history.” According to the article, Bolm founded BSR Services in 1984 as side work to his full-time job. Today, the company now staffs more than 500 workers during the winter and offers proactive risk management expertise with a focus on snow-specific property services.
